Mert Yazıcıoğlu was born on May 10, 1993, in Istanbul. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul, he enrolled in Istanbul Aydın University's Business Administration Department. During his education, he decided to become an actor and left the business administration department to start acting training. He took his first step toward acting when he visited the set of a TV series where a friend was acting. In 2020, after playing the role of Yusuf in the series Bir Annenin Günahı, he played the role of "Sinan" in the Netflix series Aşk 101.
